Poverty stubc08

stubc08 For BlogAction day the topic was property so I checked out A video by Kye Grace that talked about two charities he was giving to. one was to help the homeless and one was to give children the opportunity to play sports. I would have given to both charities but the second charity had a big effect on me. Being a teenager I love to play all kinds of sports: basketball, baseball, Cross-Country, track, and tennis. So imagining me or any other kids not having the opportunity to play sports just appalls me. I believe that in order to help students could go to a local charity and volunteer or make a donation, even a small one, every bit counts. As motivation you should just try and imagine yourself in their position. stubc08

Kevin, love the last sentence. A bit like ‘ Don’t complain, until you have walked a mile in their shoes”

Its so sad what goes on in this world. Even In the USA theres poverty, look at new york seems like such a rich classy place, but tehrres kids and parents on the streets begging for work just for a peice of bread. ITs really sad what goes on. Just recently I was on the highway and theere was a pregnant mother Im guessing about 8months and she had a daughter and her husband. They were all crying begging for food. I really wish I could do something about it. And The worst part is that ehres some people who fake being poor and they dont relize what is really going on througout the world!

    Lisa,
You’re right I do complain sometimes, but when I do I tell myself how lucky I actually am.

Hi Kevin – I suppose it is part of being human to complain. But as you say we should realise how lucky we truly are. Every cent certainly does help.

Thanks for dropping past The Edublogger and telling me what you are enjoying about the competition. I think Miss Wyatt’s doing an excellent job with ideas for each week. Have you thought about topics you might like to blog about?
